Theodore Dow
Managing Director
Theodore Dow has over 25 years of professional experience in funds management and banking.
He was most recently the Chief Investment Officer of the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC), a $10 billion “green” sovereign wealth fund with a mandate to invest on a commercial basis in clean and renewable sources of energy and low carbon projects. Prior to the CEFC, Theodore held executive positions at DIF Capital Partners, Babcock & Brown, AMP Henderson and Westpac Institutional Bank. He has completed over 60 transactions globally with an aggregate value of $45 billion.
Theodore holds board positions with DIF Capital Partners, JIDA Capital Partners (China-focused renewable energy fund), Freetips.com.au (online sports tipping) and the Federal Government’s National Standing Committee on Energy and the Environment.
Theodore holds a number of degrees including: MBA, University of Queensland: MFM, Manchester Business School (UK): PGD, Kansai Gai Dai University (Japan) and Magna Cum Laude Honours BA Economics, Boston University and speaks both Japanese and Spanish.
Vinod Muthanna

Vinod was previously the CEO of DBM Vircon a leading global construction modelling, detailing and digital engineering firm that has delivered numerous iconic projects through state-of-the-art digital technology, uncompromising detail, and nano precision. It is headquartered in Brisbane with operations spanning eight countries over four continents.
Vinod became its CEO after he led and invested in its management buyout. During his 13-year tenure he led its turnaround, international growth and eventually its sale to a U.S. publicly listed company. Following the sale, he remained as its CEO growing it organically and through the acquisition two other firms and rebranding it to DBM Vircon.
Prior to his investment in DBM Vircon, Vinod was an investment banker for eighteen years with TD Bank, JPMorgan, and Westpac in roles spanning Distressed Debt, M&A and Leveraged Finance. He has a Bachelor of Engineering from Bengaluru University, a M.B.A. from the University of Melbourne and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Helen Leung
Chief Financial Officer
Helen Leung has over 10 years of experience in accounting.
Helen acts as Senior Accountant for a number of investment companies, businesses, organisations and charities associated with the Sherman Group and Paddington St Finance.
Prior to joining Sherman Group in 2013, Helen was an Accountant at one of Sydney’s leading large format digital printers and manufacturers. Before that, she worked at a leading agency for marketing and advertising in the Australian entertainment industry.
Helen is a qualified CPA and has a Bachelor Degree in Commerce majoring in Accounting from Macquarie University.
Barry Sechos
Managing Director
Barry Sechos has over 30 years of experience as a director, business executive and corporate lawyer.
Barry is a Director of Sherman Group Pty Limited, a privately owned investment company located in Sydney, Australia. He is a Director of Fulcrum Media Finance and oversees the operations of the Fulcrum Media Finance group, a role he has held since inception in 2008.
Barry holds directorships with See‐Saw Films, an Australian and UK based film production group which won the 2011 Best Picture Academy Award for The King’s Speech; Transmission Films, an Australian film distribution company; Regeneus Limited, an Australian ASX-listed regenerative medicine company; Aberdeen Leaders Limited, an ASX-listed investment company; and DirectCash Payments Inc, an ATM & financial payments processing company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
He previously held positions as General Counsel and Compliance Officer to the EquitiLink Group and as a commercial lawyer at the law firm Allen Allen & Hemsley where he specialised in banking & finance law in Sydney, Singapore and London.
Matthew Grigg
Director
Matt Grigg has over 20 years of professional experience including 10 years of consulting experience with the ‘Big 4’, initially as a business development and account manager and, more recently, as a technical specialist providing advice to a broad spectrum of clients in relation to R&D claims, grant programs and project design / management. Most recently, Matt led KPMG’s Greater Western Sydney R&D practice, with an industry focus upon advanced manufacturing, food & beverage and technology businesses.
Prior to his consulting experience, Matt spent almost a decade in financial services and funds management in Australia and the UK, including roles with JP Morgan, Thames River Capital and ING Australia.
Matt holds a Diploma of Financial Markets and post-graduate qualifications from the Securities Institute (FINSIA).
Lily Yuan
Financial Controller
Lily Yuan has over 30 years of experience across accounting, tax, audit and investment portfolio administration.
Lily oversees the finance function for a number of investment companies, charities and listed companies associated with the Sherman Group and Paddington St Finance. Prior to joining Sherman Group in 2001, Lily spent over 10 years employed as a Senior Accountant with EquitiLink Group, a listed funds management company (now part of Aberdeen Asset Management), . Prior to that, she was a long standing Senior Auditor at Coopers & Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse Coopers).
Lily holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales and is an Australian CPA.
